OUTRUNCANCER

OUTRUNCANCER brings runners, walkers and supporters together for two powerful community events each year, raising awareness and vital funds for Cancer United.

What is OUTRUNCANCER?

OUTRUNCANCER are Cancer United’s two flagship running event. Launched in August 2014 the first run attracted only 65 local runners.  Today OUTRUNCANCER attracts hundreds of runners and individual participants to its two annual runs. The dates are listed every year in the running club calendars and the diaries of individuals from the local community, all who come together, to take part in both the Arundel 4 mile event and the September Patching 5k and 10K runs.

Participants set their own pace and take part in a way that feels right for them. Whether someone is chasing a personal best or walking for fun or in memory of a loved one, everyone comes together – a huge crowd of clubs and individuals to help support, raise awareness, and fundraise for Cancer United so that we can always be there for all those who need us and have been affected by cancer in the local community.

Where and when are the OUTRUNCANCER runs?

The two OUTRUNCANCER running events are promoted and advertised via our social media accounts and are annually:-

Always in February:

The nearest Sunday to World Cancer Day which falls on the 4th February every year

Always in September:

The date is set by the OUTRUNCANCER team at the beginning of the year and in consideration of other runs, so our date doesn’t clash – OUTRUNCANCER Angmering will be held on 20th September this year. Sign up Here.

Who is OUTRUNCANCER for?

OUTRUNCANCER is for members of running clubs, healthcare professionals, corporate teams’ family and friends and those individual participants really enjoy the challenge of the routes of both events, while wishing to help make a difference to the lives of those affected by cancer.
