What is OUTSINGCANCER?

OUTSINGCANCER is Cancer United’s uplifting community choir for men and women whose lives have been affected by cancer. Founded in 2018 under the musical direction of André da Silva, the choir began with just a few members and has grown into a vibrant, supportive family performing regularly at community events and celebrations Rehearsals take place three times a week in Littlehampton, Rustington and Bognor Regis.

OUTSINGCANCER isn’t about having the perfect voice — it’s about the joy of singing together, building confidence and sharing emotion through music. Whether you’ve sung before or are completely new to music, OUTSINGCANCER offers the chance to find your voice. Singing has been shown to reduce stress, boost mood, improve lung function and enhance wellbeing — benefits our members experience every time they sing.

Filled with laughter, friendship and encouragement, the choir spreads the message that life with cancer can still be full of harmony, purpose and joy. 

OUTSINGCANCER is also available for private bookings and special occasions.

When do we meet?

Monday

6.30pm-7.30pm – Littlehampton United Church, Littlehampton, BN17 5EG

Tuesday

3.30pm-4.30pm – AGE UK Laburnum Centre, Bognor Regis, PO21 1UX​

Thursday

7pm-8.15pm – Rustington Church Hall, Rustington, BN16 3NR​​
